Family OS ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile app and website.
Information We Collect
- Account details such as email address and profile information.
- App usage data needed to operate features and improve reliability.
- Optional content you provide, such as family tasks, notes, and schedules.
- Camera access, only when you use smart capture features to take photos or scan content.
- Uploaded content (for example photos, text, and task/event capture inputs) sent for AI processing.
- Device and diagnostic data for troubleshooting and security.
How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain app functionality.
- To support account security and prevent abuse.
- To communicate service updates and support responses.
- To improve product quality and performance.
- To run smart capture features that extract tasks and events from uploaded content using AI services.
Camera and AI Processing Disclosure
If you choose to use smart capture, the app may request camera permission so you can capture images. Captured or uploaded content may be transmitted to AI service providers for processing to generate structured tasks and events. This processing is limited to feature operation and service improvement.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us run the app, such as hosting, analytics, support tools, and AI processing providers, under contractual protections.
Data Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Content uploaded for smart capture may be temporarily stored and processed as needed to complete AI extraction workflows, then retained according to operational and legal requirements.
Your Choices
- Account self-service deletion is currently TBD and not yet available in-app.
- You can request manual account or data deletion by contacting support.
- You can update account information inside the app where available.
Children's Privacy
Family OS is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
